The Woodland
We've opened up miles of Woodland for you to enjoy and it’s all free.
There are over 400 acres to discover. Our walks challenge the biggest walking enthusiast or those who just want to take it easy and enjoy the views.
All the walks are clearly signposted and we highlight the areas that may be of particular interest to you, to ensure that you don’t miss a thing.
Nature lovers are in for a real treat. A herd of black fallow deer grazes on the deer lawn, the lake is home to herons, kingfishers and otters, and the woodlands are a haven for wildlife and flowers.
The Lake
This mile long tranquil lake designed by Capability Brown is at the heart of Trentham.
Miss Elizabeth
This Summer, take a trip on our 42-seat electrically-driven ecologically-friendly catamaran. Miss Elizabeth makes trips daily. Also available for private hire and parties. Cost: £2.50 per seat for a one way journey to the opposite end of the lake
Rowing Boats
You can also take to the lake in one of our rowing boats, which are available in two sizes. Hire by the hour from the Northern Jetty.
Cost: £7.00 per boat (maximum capacity either 3 adults or two adults and two children)
The Railway
It's all aboard Trentham's very own miniature railway. Sit astride 'Trentham Fern' and chug along the side of the lake and back. Departs everyday from 12.00 noon. An experience not to be
missed, Cost per person £2.00
